Dr. Rajendra Prasad

Born in Siwan, Bihar, Dr. Rajendra Prasad is the first president of independent India and was honored with the Bharat Ratna in 1962. He was a prominent figure in the Indian independence movement and went on to become the first education minister of independent India. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna posthumously in 1992 for his contributions to the country.
