Gurmeet Choudhary is a versatile Indian actor born at jayarampur village in Bhagalpur ,Bihar in 1984. Apart from his acting he is a commendable martial artist and a passionate dancer.He is popularly known as “Guru”.He started his acting career in 2004 with “Kumkum – Ek pyara sa Bandhan” but gained prominence in 2004 through his remarkable performance as “Rama” in the television series called Ramayan after which he never looked back. He then participated in a reality show named “Pati Patni Aur Woh” after this he played a lead role in “Geet Hui Sabse parayi” as a business tycoon Maan Singh Khurana and also in “Punarvivah” as Yash Sindhia.
He also participated in some reality shows like “Jhalak Dikhla Ja”, “Nach Baliye 6” and “Fear factor: Khatron ke Khiladi season 5” where he won Jhalak Dikhla Jaa with his choreography partner Shamapa Sonthalia.
Gurmeet commenced his Bollywood career in 2015 through a thriller “Khamoshiyan” following “Wajah Tum Ho” , “Laali ki shaadi mein Laddu Deewana” and “Paltan”.
In accordance with his professional life his personal life is also jovial. He married his Ramayan co-star Debina Bonnerjee who played the role of Sita opposite him on 15th February 2011. They together device and adorable couple. Gurmeet and Debina were blessed with two beautiful girl children on 3 April 2022 and 11 November 2022 respectively.
In spite of living a glamarous life he is a man of culture and he knows how to connect with his roots he had been at the forfront to help the needy during the corona virus pandermic he also launched a post covid specialised care centre at his hometown, Bhagalpur.
Gurmeet Choudhary is not just shining bright but also making “Bihar” proud.
